Who We Are
Corvid Isle was founded out of a shared fascination with the crow family — from the common jackdaw to the elusive chough. We are a small team of enthusiasts, writers, and wildlife observers dedicated to celebrating corvids in all their intelligence, beauty, and charm.
Our Story
What began as a handful of blog posts scribbled after long walks in the British countryside has grown into a community hub for anyone captivated by corvids. We noticed there was plenty of scientific literature about corvidae but very few places where everyday admirers could gather to share sightings, stories, and care tips.
Over the years Corvid Isle has become a meeting place where seasoned ornithologists rub shoulders with backyard bird-watchers. Whether you are rescuing a fallen jackdaw nestling or photographing rooks at dusk, this is your home on the web.

What Drives Us
Three principles guide every article, photo, and forum thread on Corvid Isle.
Respect for Wildlife
We believe corvids deserve the same consideration as any other bird species. Our content always promotes ethical observation and responsible rehabilitation practices.
Accessible Knowledge
Corvid science can be dense. We translate research into plain, engaging language so that anyone — from a curious child to a veteran naturalist — can benefit.
Community First
Corvid Isle exists because of its members. We encourage dialogue, welcome questions, and celebrate the diverse experiences that every corvid lover brings to the table.
Milestones
A brief look at how Corvid Isle has evolved over the years.
The Blog Begins
Our first post — a simple note about a pair of ravens nesting on a Scottish sea cliff — went live and attracted a handful of passionate readers.
Multi-Author Platform
We invited guest contributors from across the UK and Ireland, turning the blog into a richer, more diverse source of corvid stories and research summaries.
Community Forum Launch
Readers asked for a place to chat. We answered with a discussion forum that quickly became the heartbeat of Corvid Isle.
Redesigned & Revitalised
A complete site overhaul brought cleaner navigation, a revamped photo gallery, and expanded corvid care resources.
Other reading
Corvid Isle is the only site I know that treats crows, ravens, and jays with the wonder they deserve. The care guides helped me nurse an orphaned jackdaw back to health, and the forum members were unbelievably generous with their advice.
